Join us and become a Parish Councillor

WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY?
WANT TO BE A PARISH COUNCILLOR?

We have a vacancy and are looking for a new member for our Parish Council. We welcome applications from our community to be co-opted – the process whereby applications from interested persons are considered and current Parish Councillors vote for someone to fill the seat.

What’s involved?

Having a passion for their community, Parish Councillors are volunteers who meet once a month (except for August), on the first Tuesday. Our mission is to maintain and improve the village for all.

You can support this by proposing or getting involved in local projects, research, and conversations—bringing your skills and expertise to the council and our village.

What is the role of the Parish Council?

We are here for the local residents of Much Hadham and support the provision of services and facilities. These range from the Pavilion and playground at the Recreation Ground to the Burial Grounds at Perry Green and St Andrew’s Church.

While there is a defined list of activities that a Parish Council has the power to provide, we also work in collaboration with local volunteer groups and professional bodies to help make Much Hadham a great place to live.
