ELECTIONS – 4 MAY 2023 – STAND FOR ELECTION
District and Parish Council elections are taking place on Thursday 4th May 2023.
Being a Parish Councillor is about giving back to the community which could be by supporting a resident with an issue, by helping to shape the vision of the community or by representing the views of local people to get the right services or decisions.
The election process is managed by East Herts Council, in line with legislation and guidance issued by The Electoral Commission, and all relevant information is available on East Herts Council’s Elections 2023 website page. This information includes:
- the official Notice of Election for Much Hadham parish;
- highlighting that information is available on The Electoral Commission – Parish Council elections website page if you are interested in standing for election;
- information on voting; and
- key dates.
If you wish to stand for election, nomination papers can be downloaded from The Electoral Commission website – see link above – or requested from East Herts Council by email: electors@eastherts.gov.uk.
Completed nomination papers need to be delivered by hand to East Herts Council offices, Wallfields, Pegs Lane, Hertford SG13 8EQ by 4 pm on Tuesday 4th April 2023. Wallfields is open between 10 am and 4 pm for this purpose.
